The advantage of a locally hosted web interface is that it always remains accessible through the charger’s own hotspot (its Wi-Fi network, e.g. PBLR-XXXXX). By connecting to this hotspot, you can always access the charger via its local address and adjust any desired settings in the web interface.
You can access the charger’s web interface at any time by following these steps:
Logging in to the web interface via the charger’s local hotspot
Among the available networks on your device, you should see the charger’s network listed as PBLR-XXXXXXXX.
- If the network is not available and does not appear in your list of Wi-Fi networks, restart the charger by briefly switching the breaker in your fuse box. The charger will reboot, and the Wi-Fi hotspot will then be available for 15 minutes.
- You can find the hotspot password on the quick start guide (see image below, Hotspot Password). Alternatively, you can scan the left QR code on the quick start guide to connect directly.
- Once you are connected to the charger’s network with your device, you can open your browser and navigate to the following address: http://172.16.0.1
- The charger’s web interface will now be visible, and you can log in by entering the charger’s password.
- You can also find this password on the quick start guide (see image below, Device Password).
- If this password does not work, you can always reset it by clicking “Forgot Password” and using the PUK code (also found on the quick start guide) to set a new password.
Adjusting settings in the web interface and alternative ways to access it.
If you want the charger’s Wi-Fi hotspot to remain available for a longer amount of time, you can enable it in the web interface under Settings > Network > Wi-Fi Hotspot. This will keep the hotspot online continuously, allowing you to access the web interface at any time using the steps described above.
It is also possible to access the web interface through your own local network (e.g., your home network), provided the charger is connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
If this is the case, you can access the web interface from any device connected to the same network in two ways.
- On the device connected to the same network as the Peblar, open your browser and go to: PBLR-XXXXXXXX.local
- Alternatively, you can scan the right QR code on the Quick Start Guide.
- Please note that this address may not always work, as some routers or modems block it due to certain settings. If this happens, you can always use the other method described below to access the web interface via your own network.
- On the device connected to the same network as the Peblar, open your browser and go to the assigned IP address.
- You can find this in the web interface under Settings > Network, and then check your Ethernet or Wi-Fi network settings.
- In the example above, the assigned IP address is 192.168.1.135.
- You can always enter this address in the browser of the device you want to use to access the Peblar’s web interface.
