CT coils in combination with the Peblar are designed to measure only positive AC power readings, with a supported capacity of up to 70A. While they can be used for load balancing, this combination does not detect negative current, which is essential for our solar charging feature.
As a result, our solar charging feature is not supported when using CT coils.
Even when not using our solar charging feature, when solar panels are installed the CT coils still register the current produced by the solar panels as positive consumption rather than negative feed-in.
This may lead to a problem if you do use our dynamic load balancing feature, and your solar current can get close to the specified limit.
If the solar current is within 6A of the DLB limit, charging will not start since the system thinks too much current is used already.
We would always advise to use any of the other integrated measurement sources (such as for example a P1 dongle), when wanting to use the solar charging functionality.
