Error code 1000 indicates that the socket motor is unable to move the locking mechanism into the required position (locked or unlocked) within the expected time. As a result, the charger triggers an error and cannot start a charging session.
Has the charger been able to charge properly in the past?
Visually inspect both the charging plug and the socket to check for any obstacles (dirt or foreign objects) that may prevent the plug from being inserted fully.
Please open the charger and check whether the power cables are obstructing the socket’s locking mechanism.
Inspect the cables connected to the Socket PCB. Check for any damage and verify that they are correctly connected and in the right order. In some cases, these cables can become pinched when the charger is closed.
Also make sure the cable is inserted fully and securely into the socket. If possible, try another cable to see if the issue persists.
Important remark concerning an issue for FW1.9.1, and Socket Lock users
Socket lock functionality in the Connect Hub, the Web-interface UX is similar.
If you need to remain on Firmware 1.9.1, please contact our Support Team. We'll be happy to help you find the most suitable workaround for your situation.
Our team is actively working on a permanent fix. We will share updates and new firmware releases via the Downloads section of our website as soon as they become available.
For installers: further checks
If the charger still reports error 1000 after the checks above, send an UnlockConnector command through the web interface, ask the user to unplug the cable, present the tag again and plug the cable back in. Listen whether you hear the lock move. If the problem persists, perform a hard reset, or a power cycle if the web interface is not reachable.
Then open the charger and check that the power cables do not interfere with the locking mechanism, inspect the cables to the socket PCB for damage and correct order, and check the PP slot of the socket for debris. Try a different charging cable to rule out the cable. The lock can be moved manually by turning the pin inside the charger to the left or right.
