Peblar chargers use the CHARX connect eco AC charging cable from Phoenix Contact (type CHARX ET2C-3AC20). This cable was developed specifically for AC charging of electric cars. Both the cable and the connector are designed to what is technically needed, which makes the cable slimmer and lighter than traditional electrical cabling and easier to handle every day.
Is the thinner cable safe?
Yes. The cable complies with IEC 61851 (conductive charging systems), IEC 62196 (plugs, sockets and vehicle connectors), the EU RoHS and REACH directives, carries CE marking and is CB certified by accredited test laboratories. Although the conductor cross section is smaller, it is engineered to meet IEC 62196 and tested against overheating during continuous use, as long as it is used according to the product specifications.
Identifying your cable
The connector of your charger shows the cable type and serial number. Technical documentation, including the certificate of conformity, is available from Phoenix Contact.
