On a charger with a fixed cable, wind the cable loosely around the charger after charging. Make sure the plug hangs at least 50 cm above the ground, so no dirt gets into the plug. Always unwind the cable fully before you start charging.
When you unplug, pull the plug and never the cable. On socket models, unplug the cable from the charger as well when you are done.
